Champion Timber’s high quality means our skirting boards need less prep work to get to a high standard of finish. We also have the largest range of profiles in the South East, with 150 mouldings in stock and a bespoke profiling service that can match any moulding — perfect for period properties.
Available at lengths of up to 4.8m, you can minimise the number of joins required in long lengths. We also supply short lengths of just 1.8m, reducing waste.
Our larger skirting boards have a relief groove on the back for extra stability, as well as making it easy to apply grab adhesives while fitting. Our single-sided skirting boards also have a bevelled bottom, giving you a tighter fit to the wall.

Our most popular skirting board profiles are available in sustainably sourced hardwood, softwood and primed MDF. We can also machine custom profiles in softwood or hardwood — usually within just 4 working days.
Softwood skirting boards
Our softwood skirting is sourced and machined by us, so we can guarantee its quality and consistency. It’s kiln-dried making it less likely to warp and we select it for low knot content to make cutting and painting easy. Our machining process leaves our softwood skirting super smooth, making it easy to prep for paint or other treatments. We can supply boards in a range of heights, from 100mm to 250mm to fit any style of property.
Hardwood skirting boards
Our hardwood skirting boards are available in American White Oak as standard, but other hardwoods can be custom ordered. Our American White Oak skirting is the best commercial grade and has been kiln-dried for stability. All our hardwoods are compliant with British and international guidelines for timber sustainability.
Primed MDF skirting boards
We have the largest range of MDF skirting boards in the South East, with both modern and traditional styles available. Our MDF skirting boards are pre-primed for easy painting.
A full range of matching mouldings
At Champion Timber, we also stock a full range of decorative mouldings to match our skirting boards. These include architraves in primed MDF, softwood and hardwood. We also stock dado and picture rails, cornices, bolections and astragals in premium redwood, which are ideal for the perfect period effect.
