Mouldings

Mouldings cover a range of machined timber finishes such as architraves, skirtings, beads, cornices and dado rails available in both 'period' and standard styling. So if your requirement is for contemporary architraves, period setting plate rails, a small decorative moulding, or even a large hardwood threshold sill, then look no further than Champion. Our range of 'period' softwood mouldings is probably the largest available in the country and, we can machine it for you, if we do not stock it.

Softwood Mouldings

As with our premier planed timber, we only use Nordic Swedish Redwood Pine for our softwood mouldings, ensuring the quality and finish desired by our customers. All are machined in our own production mill to guarantee consistency and continuity of supply. We are continually striving to ensure our timber mouldings are easy to use and that every metre is usable. Special features include:

• a groove in the back of single sided skirtings and large architraves where bead adhesives like Gripfill can be applied for easy gluing to the wall, giving a flusher fit
• a radius on the inside bottom edge of our single sided skirtings, to allow a tight flush fit into the corner between wall and floor

Many of our period mouldings are based on authentic original patterns, confirmed by research in the Victoria & Albert Museum, enabling us to create what is possibly the largest range of period mouldings in the country.

Hardwood Mouldings

As well as our range of softwoods, we also stock some profiles in Meranti/Seraya and American White Oak. Alternatively other patterns can be produced quickly to order in other species including Beech, Poplar/Tulipwood, Ash, Maple, Cherry, Iroko, Teak, Utile, Sapele and Jelutong to name just a few.

MDF Mouldings

MDF Mouldings come ready primed for painting. Stocked in Skirtings, Architraves and Window Boards.

Burbidge Mouldings

As well as Champion's vast range of standard and period mouldings, we are a major stockist of smaller decorative mouldings manufactured by Richard Burbidge. These mouldings are available in Marupa hardwood or Pine softwood, with some designs available in a red hardwood. Most branches stock an extensive range of sizes and patterns.

Delivery

For deliveries of mouldings outside our 10-mile free delivery zone, we operate a Nation Wide Door-to-Door Delivery Service. For a price and to order mouldings using this service, please contact the sales department at the New Malden branch on 020 8949 5232.

National delivery for stock mouldings is generally 5 to 7 working days from receipt of order and payment.
