Rising butt hinges are used to aid doors to self close in such environments as bathroom/toilet cubicles because as the door is opened the door rides up the spiral knuckle raising the door as it opens.
When the door is released the weight of the door combined with the bevel on the hinged joint normally causes the door to close by itself.
Available as either clockwise (RH) used where the hinges are on the right of the door and the door opens towards you, or anticlockwise (LH) when the hinges are on the left.
The two parts separate, so when open, the door can be lifted off.
