About Our Composite Deck Boards

What are Composite Deck Boards?

Composite Decking is a man-made building product made up of a mix of wood fibres, plastics and a small number of bonding agents. This mix is heated, formed into board shaped lengths and then cooled. The resulting boards need far less maintenance than traditional wood decking whilst looking more authentic than plastic alternatives.

In addition, our 4.8m length of 47 x 150mm decking joist (47150SCT) is treated to User Class 4 (UC4) which means that it is suitable for direct ground contact and can even be buried. The UC4 preservative is impregnated into the timber through pressure treatment, meaning that both our decking and it's subframe will last the test of time.

What Composite Decking does Champion Timber offer?

We offer a range of Composite Decking to provide your terrace with a natural surface and make it almost indestructible. We can offer Millboard Decking, a new generation of innovative anti-slip and maintenance-free external decking, made in the UK, with at least 25-year service life. We also stock Silvadec and Ecodek, both solid boards that require minimal maintenance with no painting, staining or after treatment required, and again with at least 25 years of service life. We also carry the associated fascias, fixings etc to finish off the project.
