About Our Composite Deck Boards

What are Composite Deck Boards?

Composite Decking is a man-made building product made up of a mix of wood fibres, plastics and a small number of bonding agents. This mix is heated, formed into board-shaped lengths and then cooled. The resulting boards need far less maintenance than traditional wood decking whilst looking more authentic than plastic alternatives.

What are the differences between composite and timber decking?

Capped composite decking is usually manufactured from polymer resin which offers slip resistance and peace of mind for your decking installation of this rot-free surface to your outdoor spaces. That being said, natural wood is a much cheaper option and can also offer a rot-free solution to your decking if pressure treated correctly to UC4 (user class 4), a treatment that comes as standard with all our softwood decking.

What Composite Decking does Champion Timber offer?

Our decking ranges include high quality Composite Decking to provide your terrace with a natural surface and make it almost indestructible. We can offer Millboard Decking, a new generation of innovative anti-slip and maintenance-free external decking, made in the UK, with at least 25-year service life.
