About Our Door Handles, Knobs & Furniture

Lever Handles on Backplates

Door handles on backplates are perfect for breathing new life into a room. You’d be surprised how much internal door furniture - such as lever door handles - can transform a tired and outdated space. For those looking to update their homes without tearing through their budget, door handles on backplates are a brilliant, quick and painless place to start - especially as you can install interior door furniture yourself.

Lever Handles on Rose

Lever handles on the rose comprise the door lever and the round ‘rose’, upon which the handle is mounted and turns. Lever handles are attached to the door latch mechanism, and when the lever is pushed down, the latch is operated, allowing for the door to be opened or closed. A spring mechanism within the rose ensures that the handle returns to its original position when not in use. All lever fixings and screws are hidden behind the rose cover itself. Lever handles on rose are available in materials such as chrome, stainless steel and aluminium.

Mortice Knobs

A mortice doorknob is used with a latch or a lock mechanism, which is set within the door (as opposed to a rim knob). All of our mortice door knobs are sold as a pair complete with spindle and fittings.

Bathroom Turn/Release Locks

Bathroom turn & releases and indicator bolts (also known as 'Thumbturns') are to be used on bathroom doors with door handles or doorknobs on the rose. Available in a range of finishes and styles, there are turns & releases available to match all of the handles and knobs. The turn & release sits directly underneath the handle or knob and will operate on a bathroom lock or deadbolt. In each case, a 90-degree turn of the thumb turn knob will lock or unlock the bathroom door.

Door Stops

Hang the door stop on the top hinge of the door. Installing door stops that screw into baseboards is equally simple. To avoid having the doorstop punch a hole in a hollow-core door, install the stop so it hits the door no farther than 1-1/2 in. in from either the edge or the bottom of the door.

Letter Plates

A letter plate is a simple and traditional addition to front doors, that is quick and easy to install. Letterplates can be matched to front door knobs, door knockers and bell push to bring all your front door furniture together. It will complete the look of your front doors and improve your home's kerb appeal while creating a lovely first impression to all visitors.

Door Kick Plate

Door kick plates are a sheet of material attached to the bottom of your door to protect it from damage. They get their name from when people kick the door open when they have their hands full. So this is why you’ll see them in commercial and public buildings. Anywhere where there is a pretty steady thoroughfare of people, they are essential. For example, they’re a pretty essential feature of hospitals and schools.
