About Our Escutcheons

What are Escutcheons?

The escutcheon (also known as a keyhole cover) is used to bridge the gap between the outside diameter of the pipe and the inside diameter of the opening in said surface. An escutcheon can also refer to an item of door furniture. In this case, it is an architectural item that surrounds a keyhole or lock cylinder and is often part of a lockset. Perfect for concealing key or cylinder holes, and either concealed fixings or for a more contemporary look the fixings can be seen. A large variety of finishes are available from top brands, perfect to match any interior look you are trying to achieve.

What Escutcheons does Champion Timber offer?

Our range of escutcheon covers all the bases, with everything from Victorian-covered escutcheon to modern turn and release mechanisms. You’ll also find plenty of colour options, so you can coordinate your keyhole cover with any other fittings.
