About Our Engineered Oak Flooring

What is Engineered Oak Flooring?

Engineered Oak Flooring, like any other quality, engineered solid wood flooring product is made up of layers of ply which are bonded together to form a solid and highly stable core board. That core board is then topped off with solid oak and the finished product, although more stable than solid oak flooring looks just like solid oak.

What Engineered Wood Flooring does Champion Timber offer?

Engineered Oak Flooring is one of the high quality wooden flooring types designed to overcome problems such as drying out or warping due to central heating. Our wood is still carefully selected from sustainable sources, but it's cut and formed into three layers. The top layer provides the unique texture and strength of natural wood, a central core of softwood, high-density fiberboard or plywood adds stability, and there's a veneer underneath for balance. The resulting engineered flooring boards are gorgeous and long-lasting.

Engineered construction with just a top layer of real wood also helps the tree to go further, extending the resources available while providing a more stable floor. Meanwhile, our passion for wood's natural qualities drives the finishing process. Our six ranges of engineered hardwood flooring each aim to capture a unique aspect of Britain's natural environments while also reflecting our commitment to quality and affordability.

We also have all the underlays, room divider thresholds, room edge scotias etc to finish off the project.
