What is a Glulam Beam?
A glulam beam is a type of structural engineered timber product comprising of a number of layers of dimensioned timber bonded together with durable, moisture-resistant structural adhesives.
Glulam beams are being used for a variety of construction purposes where strength and clear unsupported spans are key factors
Beams are manufactured using timber lamination's of Whitewood Spruce bonded together with waterproof and weather-resistant glue
Can be curved to shape during manufacture Have strength properties twice that of standard timber
Lightweight yet have superior strength to weight ratio over structural steel
Fire-resistant - fire self extinguishes itself unless beam exposed to direct flame
Good insulation properties unlike steel
