FORS SILVER ACCREDITATION

Champion Timber is committed to improving safety, environmental impact and efficiency. This has been acknowledged by the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme ( FORS) and as a result, we have been awarded FORS Silver accreditation.

FORS is a method of recognising fleet operations that comply with the requirements of the FORS standard. The FORS standard is based upon lawfulness, safety, efficiency, and environmental protection. Fleet operators operations are audited against the requirements of the FORS Standard by an approved FORS certification body.

Silver accreditation is directly aligned to both the CLOCS Standard for construction logistics which is being implemented by a number of major construction clients and also the WRRR contractual clauses specified by organisations such as TfL, Crossrail, City of London and London Borough of Camden.

EMISSIONS COMPLIANCE

Our modern fleet of vehicles all complies with the rigorous emission restrictions required for deliveries into London and the ULEZ zones. We are a FORS Silver certified operator, meaning that our service is managed to a very high standard, and audited regularly. Our KPI for deliveries exceeds 98% on time in full.

Our drivers will assist customers with safe and reasonable requests to offload materials at the point of delivery. The recipient of the delivery is responsible for additional lifting once the delivery has been made, and for heavy and bulky items we would require additional support from the customer to complete the delivery. The driver has the final decision on what is safe and reasonable and if he decides it is unsafe or unreasonable our delivery will revert to kerbside only.
