About Our Fence Posts

What Fence Posts does Champion Timber offer?

We have a range of timber Fence Posts, both sawn and planed, and are all pressure treated to UC4, so suitable for ground contact. In addition, they come with a 15-year warranty against rot and decay. In addition, we also have a range of concrete posts and galvanised & coloured posts. Of course, we also carry a large range of associated accessories to install and finish off the post.

Not only do we offer standard planed all round (PAR) and sawn posts but we also offer a selection of high quality timber slotted fence posts from Jacksons, a reputable fencing company.

How deep should Fence Posts be in the ground?

The minimum depth that you should dig your fence post holes for panel sections is 2 feet. A general formula is to dig the holes one-third to one-half of the wooden fence posts above ground height. The deeper you dig the holes, the more stability your fence has, but you must also purchase longer posts.

What are wood fence posts for?

Our heavy duty posts can not only be used for a garden fence but have a multitude of uses throughout your project. Our fence posts are ideal for use as vertical supports for a deck area and also for supports as gate posts between wooden fences. Fence posts can also be used to build more commercial structures such as sturdy wire fencing.

Due to the range of posts that we have such as Sawn Fence Posts, Planed Fence Posts, Concrete Fence Posts, Galvanised & Coloured Posts and plenty more available from our suppliers, we really do have the posts to suit everyone.

All our fence posts are available for same-day collection or speedy delivery.
