What are a Hasp and Staple?

A Hasp and Staple are designed to be used with a pin or a padlock to securely lock. Ideal for use on sheds, storage boxes or garden gates, they come in a wide range of sizes so you can be sure to find the right one for the job.

How do Hasp and Staples work?

The hinged section of the hasp features some holes, which are used to screw when mounting it. When closed, the hasp slotted end fits over a well-fixed staple through which the padlock slides to trap the hasp.
